World War II gave an impetus to an existing trend following the First World War. Combatants knew of the needs of colleagues who became victims of the conflict they endured or indeed the ordinary risks in life. Thus among other institutions The Royal Air Forces Association was formed.
Comradeship
Comradeship had developed and it is felt that it remains a valuable part of life to continue into Civvy Street. RAFA Newark Branch and Club was formed 29 January 1946.
RAFA Club
The RAFA Club is now a centre for local organisations, many in public service, who use it as a meeting venue for social and business reasons. We are now an established, proud and important part of life in Newark. Nottinghamshire.
